The break out is an area within an office for staff to sit away from their normal work area.
Break out spaces often feature kitchen facilities and tables suitable for eating, but can also include a range of formal and informal seating.
Not only do they provide staff with a space to escape the desk for a drink or some food, but they can provide flexible and informal meeting space and encourage collaborative working.
